I buy 3 at a time to save money and hope the fridge lasts as long. These newer models seem to be as good as the old - there is no taste to the water. If they still last a year like the older model only time will tell. It's only been installed a month now. I love the fact that with a family of 7 who drink a lot of water these type cartridges last us about a year. (I noticed the bad taste a day before the filter light came on saying to change the filter.) What I don't like is how each time I've had to buy more the price has increased so much. But it still beats Brita in taste, hassle, and value.

We have a Jenn-Air Fridge (side by side), this filter works great and does the job. Just make sure the model number fits your fridge and your good to go.

I bought an Amana refrigerator a little over a year ago and recently the "Replace Filter" light came on. I shopped several stores around here and was totally confused as to which filter was the right one. I mean, Whirlpool bought Maytag and Amana bought Whirlpool (or something like that), so it is hard to tell which filter was for which fridge. There were no convenient charts to guide you. Finally I went to Google and typed in the part number. Amazon had the best price. We have well water with a whole house filter, but my son noticed the difference right away. Good filter, good price, quick delivery.
